This week we will look at the 3 branches of government (legislative, executive, judicial) as well as look at how a bill becomes law. We will also look at the issues with the Senate in Canada. (Note: For blocks and 3 and 6 only). The student teacher is looking after blocks 7,8 for the next 8 weeks.
Block 3 and Block 6 classes will present their democracy comparisons. We will begin looking at the 3 levels of government (Federal, Provincial, and Municipal). We will also look at the three branches of government (Legislative, Executive, and Judicial).
Block 7 and Block 8 will continue to work with the student teacher, Mr. Kalyvas. Note: Friday is a curriculum implementation day so there will be no classes. We will begin looking at different ideologies starting with Adam Smith and Karl Marx. We will introduce different ideas on the political spectrum. We will then start to look at the democratic structure of Canada. We will investigate the different branches of government.
Welcome Back! This week, we will be looking at the major ideologies which have helped to shape our political system in Canada. We will look at the 5 major ideologies (Communism, Socialism, Liberalism, Conservatism, and Fascism).
