This week we will begin chapter 2 which looks at the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. We will look at how a bill becomes law in Canada and looks at issues regarding the Charter.
This week, we will finish off the "deserted island scenario" presentations. We will begin looking at the the different levels of government. Also, we will begin wrapping up the first chapter. Friday is a curriculum implementation day so there will be no classes.
Over the next two weeks, we will begin looking at the foundations of Canadian law. We will study the important documents that have influenced our system of law in Canada. Also, we will do an activity where each group will have to create laws for their "deserted island scenario". Each group will be sharing their laws with the class.
